D+G Feature: Meet Jane of Quiet Creature

A few weeks ago, I was able to get in contact with Jane Beaird. Jane is the incredible talent and brains behind one of my favorite small businesses: "Quiet Creature." After following along via Instagram for nearly a year, I was able to (FINALLY) see her incredible work firsthand.

Before I talk about the masterpiece she made for me, here's a bit more about Jane!
She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from NYU in 2010 and an Associates in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in 2011. After school, she began working as a studio assistant for a sculptor in NYC. A few odd jobs after that, she found herself as an assistant men's sweater designer at Lord and Taylor. After that, she started body doubling for Anne Hathaway (SERIOUSLY, THEY LOOK LIKE TWINS! IT'S CRAZY!) and received small roles on "Law & Order SVU" and Steven Soderbergh's "The Knick".

Jane began "Quiet Creature" about two years ago as a small side project and to her surprise, it's now grown into something really special. She sells at markets and creates custom illustrations for clients, including most recently MotherMuse magazine.

Jane hopes to one day write and illustrate a book about strong women in the arts. #GIRLPOWER But for now, she's currently busy being Anne Hathaway's stand-in on "Ocean's 8" and painting as much as possible outside of that job :)

Now....the time has come for me to share with you the incredible illustration I have printed and framed in our little Austin apartment. If you are looking for something a little different to spice up your home, email Jane and be prepared for greatness. I am IN LOVE with how she depicted my little family.

Seriously though, how cute is our sweet little Loretta!?!

Thank you Jane for creating an amazing piece of art that we'll cherish forever.
