Restaurant Pre-Opening: Culinary Dropout

Sometimes I get to do cool things and go to cool places....
....but the best places, involve food.

Recently I got an invite to check out two new restaurants in the Domain Northside; Flower Child and Culinary Dropout (both owned by Fox Restaurant Concepts) are right next door to each other and opened on the same day. Myself, and some other lucky bloggers and guests, got to check out the menu and decor a few days prior to opening.

Here's my consensus: Culinary Dropout is incredible.

We were given the opportunity to sample almost the entire menu and EVERYTHING was wonderful.

If you go, you must order the pretzels and cheese. Seriously, SO GOOD. I think I ate 100 that night without the least bit of shame.

I also really enjoyed the turkey pastrami sandwich. It's a mountain of turkey, swiss cheese, and coleslaw on a pretzel bun. (again, not sorry about the amount of pretzel I ate).
The turkey is super moist and the cheese is melted to perfection BUT I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the coleslaw on top really makes this dish. There's something about eating hot sandwich with a touch of cold/crunch on top that gets my taste buds going.

ps....stole this photo from the Culinary Dropout website because omg it looks too good for just words.
All the picky eaters, raise yo hands. Culinary Dropout offers a wide range of options. They have everything from burgers to trout to nachos. (and did I mention the pretzels and cheese!?!) Trust me, I'm a picky eater and they have enough selection for EVERYONE.

Stop in today and indulge in some of the best food to hit Austin in a really long time.

.....and just because my boyfriend is so cute and this night was so fun, here's a few Photo photo-booth pictures just for your entertainment.
